Perceptions of wind turbines

Sadhbh O’Neill juxtaposes the ‘cost’ for coastal communities of ‘letting go’ of unspoilt views out to sea with the implied ‘benefit’ of proposed near shore wind farms in addressing ‘the magnitude of the task that lies ahead and the difficult trade-offs it will demand’. The cost of development on ecologically inappropriate sites is not considered.
